New Style, Same Love of Learning

Over the summer 2026, we will be launching this new website and introducing a fresh new look for Sun Hill Infant and Preschool.

As part of this change, we will be saying goodbye to our cheerful sun logo, which has represented the school for many years. We know that it holds a great deal of affection and nostalgia for current families, former pupils, staff and the wider community. It has been part of countless first days, school photographs, performances and happy memories, and it will always have an important place in Sun Hill’s story.

However, we also believe that the time is right for the school to begin its next chapter.

A new identity is about much more than changing a logo. The way families discover, understand and connect with a school has changed considerably. A website, social media and school communications are often the first places prospective parents experience a school, sometimes long before they walk through the gates.

We want our new look to reflect the school that Sun Hill is today: warm, welcoming, ambitious and deeply committed to giving children the happiest and strongest possible start to their education. It will help us communicate more clearly and consistently, celebrate school life more confidently and make it easier for new and existing families to find the information they need.

Schools are also working in a changing landscape. Sun Hill has always been fortunate to hold a strong position within our community, but we do not want to take that for granted. This is an opportunity to raise the bar once again and make sure that the quality, character and care experienced inside our school are reflected just as strongly outside it.

The new website will be the first part of this journey. You will then begin to see the refreshed style introduced gradually through our communications, Facebook and Instagram pages, printed materials and areas around the school.

Over time, the new identity will also appear on school uniform. We want to reassure families that there will be no expectation to replace uniform that still fits or remains in good condition. Existing uniform can continue to be worn, and the new design will be introduced naturally as children grow and new items are needed. There will be a long lead time for this; over a year, and we will be relaxed about the transition.

While the school’s appearance may be changing, the heart of Sun Hill Infants is not. Our relationships, values, traditions and commitment to every child remain exactly where they have always been: at the centre of everything we do.

We hope that you will join us in celebrating this exciting new chapter. We are incredibly proud of Sun Hill’s history, and we are equally excited about the future we are building together.

We look forward to sharing the new website and full identity with you very soon.

With best wishes,

Mrs Wilson
