See our School in Action!

Shortly we will confirm our date for our Autumn Open Morning where you can see the school in full flow. This is likely to be 2nd week of October, before the School half term.
Meet our Headteacher, Preschool Lead and our excellent teachers and staff. We will show you our busy classrooms, our Wildlife Area and Pond, all the many dedicated outside spaces for each year group, the grounds we share with Sun Hill Juniors.

Apply to our Preschool
All Preschool applications are managed by the school. Please apply directly to us.
You are able to join anytime, subject to places from child's third birthday. Please contact our school office for information about availability, sessions, funded hours and how to apply.
Please note that attending Sun Hill Preschool does not guarantee a place in Reception, and parents and carers must make a separate application for an infant school place through Hampshire County Council.

Monday to Friday 08:50am to 15:15pm

We run two sessions (the morning and the afternoon) per day. They can be attended as half-days or as a whole day.

We follow the school’s term dates, and are closed during school holidays.

We accept children aged 3 to 5 years. As an on-site preschool, we can work with you and your child to ensure the most appropriate start in Reception once your child is school-age.

Families are able to use their 15 hours of funded childcare or extended hours provision at our setting.
Visit our Preschool page to learn more.

Apply to our Infant School
All Infant School applications are managed at Hampshire County Council (HCC) via their official application process:
Admissions are open from beginning of November 2026 until 15 January 2027. The official national offer day for primary schools is 16 April 2027. Your offer will be confirmed by email from HCC. We will then be in touch shortly after that.

As a Hampshire County Council community school, we have a designated catchment area. Children living within that area receive priority under the published admissions policy, but families living outside the catchment are also very welcome to apply.

Catchment boundaries are based on individual home addresses, so parents should use Hampshire County Council’s official School Catchment Area Finder rather than relying on a general postcode or neighbourhood description.
