There are so many reasons to join Sun Hill Infant & Preschool! below, are a few of the key activities and information requests we have from new parents.
Our strong education and impressive results have always been consistent and we pride ourselves on our expert teachers who love their role and our impressive support staff who equally know and understand each child in our care. Working at a school is a privilege and we enjoy every day together.
Meals & Snacks
Our fresh food is provided by Caterlink via Hants CC. Fruit & vegetables are available at snack time. We follow strict allergen protocols and we are a nut-safe School. All meals are free for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Food Policy

Wild Garden & Pond
We have a large dedicated Wild Garden & Pond which is very exciting for us all. You will find us there all year round playing, having outdoor lessons, learning about nature and growing plants and flowers. A haven for us all!
Cafe on Friday
Join us every Friday 3-4pm, after school and get to know your classmates & parents. The Cafe is legendary and is run by FOSHI, our PTA. Anyone can help out and there is a sensible rota for people to bake, buy and serve cakes and drinks for an hour.
Family Fridays
Reading Morning: You can also join us on Fridays in the School day by coming in to read with the children. We look forward to seeing you. Please contact the office for our safeguarding procedures and general sensible guidelines to being in a school.
Clubs
Daytime clubs & After School Clubs
We have an array of clubs in the daytime and after School including The Drama Beast, Soccer School, RockSteady Music, RND Dance and Cook Stars Junior. Information about joining will be sent at the beginning of each term.
Trips & Adventures
Beautiful Alresford! What more could a School need? On our doorstep are the famous Watercress beds & Chalk Streams, Heritage Train Station; The Watercress Line, Festivals, Big School visits, we are strong Wildlife Ambassadors, Winchester Science Museum, our big City of Winchester nearby and the stunning South Downs landscape! We are very lucky indeed.
Alumni
We love hearing that so many of our Sun Hill pupils become Head Students at Perins and other schools! It just shows how important our Early Years education is. Our pupils become very active in their community and succeed in many different ways. We are very proud of them all. We also welcome trainee teachers through local training programmes, and Sport Leaders and general volunteers.
Alresford Events
We are huge supporters and involved in every big Alresford event and as a school and PTA (FOSHI) we get stuck in. Whether it is the Alresford Show in Sept, The Watercress Festival in May or the many events inbetween, we love being involved. Please see our news page for more info.
