We welcome volunteers who would like to support special events, trips and school activities. Please contact the school office to express your interest; all volunteering opportunities are subject to the school’s safeguarding procedures and the checks appropriate to the role.

Here are a few areas we always need volunteers with:

• Joining FOSHI for main event and administration support

• Joining Cafe rota for Fridays that suit your lifestyle

• Reading to Children

• Wild Garden & Pond maintenance

• School maintenance

• Sun Hill Representatives at local events (free entry tickets!)

• BBQ Support at events

• Sorting Second-hand uniform rail

• Supporting fundraising from local businesses

• Professional Film, photography & marketing

Governor Vacancies

​

School governors are volunteers who work together to help shape the school’s strategic direction, support and challenge its leadership, and ensure that resources are used effectively.

 

You do not need to be a parent or have worked in education, as a wide range of experience and perspectives is valued. Parent governors are elected when a vacancy arises, while other governors may be appointed by the governing body or local authority.

 

The role includes attending meetings, reading papers and undertaking relevant training. Please contact the school office to find out more or register your interest.
